Lumera is defeated after a grueling battle and, free from Sombron's influence, is given one final moment to show Alear affection and encouragement to save the world before her Corrupted body vanishes. Alear refuses and resolves to free her from Sombron's influence. Alear makes a timely rescue and Lumera is overjoyed by their reunion, even trying to sway Alear to join her as a Corrupted so they can finally be together forever, even extending the offer to Veyle now knowing that she is Alear's sister. Lumera attacks her in a rage as it was her who caused her death. Though Veyle attempts to destroy it on her own to spare Alear from having to face their mother, she is incapable of doing so. Veyle, who can sense the shards, discovers that the last shard is protected by Corrupted Lumera. When Sombron revitalizes his full power, Alear and their forces seek out his Fell Dragon shards in order to weaken him. The two would combat Sombron for sometime before finally laying him low, but not before Sombron is able to grievously injure Alear one last time.Īfter Lumera's death, Sombron resurrects her as a Corrupted. The encounter was the first step toward Alear considering Lumera their mother, and their turning on Sombron. Alear was at first conflicted and stunned by such kindness that they had never before received, but agreed to meet Lumera in secret again. Despite being her enemy, Lumera showed Alear warmth, kindness, and understanding. During the war against Sombron, Lumera, the last Divine Dragon left after the rest of her kind had been killed, encountered Alear in the mountains of Gradlon, where she found them prone in the snow. It is later revealed that Lumera is not Alear's birth mother but their adoptive mother who took them after showing them kindness. Heartbroken, Alear pleads with her to stay with them, but Lumera can only make Alear pinky swear to complete the mission just before she finally passes away. In her death throes, she gives Alear the Ring of the Holy Knight and tasks them with completing her mission to gather the twelve rings. Despite Framme's best attempt to heal her, healing at least her immediate wounds, Lumera begins to die as she had exhausted so much of her Divine Dragon powers to reawaken Alear. Though she is able to muster enough energy to repel this cloaked figure, Lumera is severely injured. Lumera appears in her dragon and intercepts a powerful spell. After Alear and their forces arrive, they are ambushed by a cloaked figure. That night, for the first time in a thousand years, Lythos Castle is besieged by enemies attempting to raid the Ring Vault where the Emblem Rings are stored. Alear, feeling guilty for accepting a present they cannot recall, asks Lumera to hold onto it until they regain their memories, which she accepts. Alear is able to clear her trial and after the fight, she attempts to give them an ornamental ring that she had promised to them prior to their slumber for their birthday. She uses the Ring of the Holy Knight to further test their strengths. She also decides to train Alear in combat in hopes of reawakening some of their memories. The last time this occurred, Lumera used their power to seal away the Fell Dragon. After returning to Lythos Castle, Lumera reveals to them the existence of twelve Emblem Rings and the duties of the Divine Dragons in collecting them every one thousand years to Summon the latent Emblems inside. She is shocked that Alear has amnesia, but nonetheless embraces her child and expresses joy that they are awake after so long. Using her draconic powers, she dispatches the remaining creatures. Upon hearing news of their child's awakening, Lumera arrived just as Alear was being assaulted by malevolent creatures. For the next thousand years, Lumera watched over Alear, who was sleeping in the Somniel. She's a hero who helped the humans in the war against the Fell Dragon a thousand years ago, saving the continent. Lumera is the Divine Dragon Monarch and the mother of Alear. 4.1.7 Taken high damage or weapon break.
